Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Yelm, WA.

Job Description:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional strengths and challenges.
  • Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Prioritize student support by providing counseling and guidance on various issues, including academic concerns, social-emotional difficulties, and behavioral challenges.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with teachers and school personnel to design and implement targeted interventions.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and families to ensure seamless support and resource provision.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives aimed at promoting student success and well-being.
  • Stay abreast of emerging research and best practices in special education to deliver exceptional services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure to practice special education.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a special education teacher in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Compassion, empathy, and commitment to student success.
