Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Healthcare Professionals: Provide support to physicians and nurses in the care of patients and families, completing assigned patient care tasks with a focus on delivering safe and compassionate care.
  • Patient Flow Management: Assist with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients.
  • Clinical Support: Obtain vital signs, weights, and Electrocardiograms (EKG) as needed, assist with blood collection phlebotomy, and ensure charts are available with relevant lab work and test reports for physicians.
  • Exam Room Preparation: Clean and prepare exam rooms and treatment areas after each patient, ensuring a clean and safe environment for the next patient.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling treatments, answering phones, and completing patient charges.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training new Medical Assistants and may perform administrative responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program graduate or 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; basic knowledge of computers.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
