Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our cloud-based communication services. As a key member of the Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. team, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives and innovation in real-time communication, including telephony and video services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to understand their goals and challenges, and develop a product vision that meets their needs.
  2. Strategic Leadership: Influence senior leaders across AWS and communicate your product vision, strategy, and goals to drive adoption and utilization of our services.
  3. Product Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to build new capabilities and source customers for early adoption, beta testing, and launch partners.
  4. Launch and Promotion: Launch and promote new capabilities in collaboration with product marketing teams.
  5. Customer Advocacy: Deliver compelling presentations, product demos, technical blogs, and discussions to drive adoption of communication offerings.
Requirements
  1. Technical Background: Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years of technical product management experience.
  2. Industry Experience: 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, or IT.
  3. Product Management Skills: Experience in taking a product from conception and definition through engineering design and market launch.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced Degree: MBA degree or equivalent.
  2. Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable making data-driven decisions and taking calculated risks.
  3. Leadership Skills: Ability to influence others and navigate complex cross-functional environments.
  4. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
  5. Cloud-Based Business Models: Familiarity with cloud-based business models and agile, lean startup product management processes.
