Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Assembler to join our aerospace client's team. This role is essential in supporting the assembly operations within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute routine assembly tasks on structural and mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and aircraft systems using manual techniques.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of products and processes by engaging in the design, fabrication, and testing of innovative concepts and technologies.
  • Occasional travel to various facilities may be required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, including blueprints and schematics.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in understanding engineering documents and schematics.
  • At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience in the fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems in accordance with industry standards for at least 1 year.
  • Familiarity with machine shop processes for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs and maintain sitting and standing positions for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of assembly and production methodologies, including necessary manufacturing capabilities data.
  • Ability to distinguish between production processes and in-service requirements.
  • Involvement in the assessment and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to team objectives and collaboration to achieve common goals.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Employment Type: 6-month contract with potential for extension.

Compensation may vary based on individual factors such as skills, experience, and education. Benefits will commence on the 31st day of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA options, and access to a 401K retirement plan with employer matching. Employees in this position are also eligible for paid sick leave and other paid time off as per applicable laws.
