Solar Branch Manager Job Description

Freedom Forever is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Branch Manager to lead our solar operations team in New Jersey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of solar projects, managing a team of installers and field personnel, and ensuring adherence to contract specifications and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all operations and administrative tasks for the designated branch location
  • Plan and coordinate installations of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems to ensure conformance to codes and company standards
  • Manage, motivate, and mentor a team of personnel involved in the installation and inspection of solar projects
  • Evaluate and manage resources and processes required for successful completion of high-volume residential and small commercial solar projects
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer service, and productivity throughout branch operations
  • Ensure proper safety training and equipment for all team members and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for Safety
  • Remotely assess potential solar installation sites to determine feasibility and design requirements
  • Assess system performance or functionality at the system, subsystem, and component levels
  • Oversee scheduling of building inspections for solar installation projects and remotely monitor work of subcontractors
  • Provide technical assistance to installers, technicians, or other solar professionals
  • Prepare solar installation project proposals, quotes, budgets, or schedules
  • Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential or commercial solar installation projects
  • Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of solar installation projects

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites
  • Experience in solar operations, management, or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of solar electric systems, solar thermal systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
