Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Aston Gardens. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our community, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas, including apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices.
• Sweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop all floors and stairways; spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners.
• Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures and facilities; stock dispensers as necessary.
• Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills.
• Maintain equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
• Collect trash and refuse from work areas and place in designated pick-up areas.
• Responsible for collecting, cleaning, and redistributing community laundry.
• Responsible for maintaining commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use.
• Ensure any cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are kept out of the way at all times, not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes.
• Reports any needed repairs and supply and equipment needs to the Lead Housekeeper.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.
• Interacts with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
