KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Provide expert guidance to the organization in packaging technologies.

    • Engage with the global research community to exchange best practices.
  • Design and Development:
    • Create and refine packaging designs for both new and existing products.
    • Develop prototypes and conduct thorough testing to validate packaging performance.
    • Utilize design software to produce detailed packaging specifications.
  • Material Evaluation:
    • Investigate and recommend suitable packaging materials based on product specifications and sustainability objectives.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to procure materials and negotiate pricing.

    • Implement comprehensive testing protocols to assess packaging durability and compliance.
    • Analyze testing outcomes and adjust designs as necessary.

    • Stay updated on trends and innovations in sustainable packaging.

    • Work in tandem with product development, marketing, and supply chain teams to align packaging with product needs.
    • Provide technical assistance to both internal teams and external partners.
    • Clearly communicate packaging requirements to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Cost Analysis:
    • Evaluate packaging expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
    • Develop budget-friendly packaging solutions.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Continuously assess and enhance packaging workflows.
    • Standardize best practices across the organization.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain thorough records of packaging designs and testing results.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in packaging engineering, from concept to launch.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration in areas such as Marketing and Quality Assurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

COMPENSATION

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000, with actual compensation dependent on various factors including experience and location.
