Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team in Burke, Virginia.

Job Responsibilities
  • Embeds pathology specimens to ensure optimal sectioning and prepares slides for microscopic examination.
  • Performs routine and special staining procedures, including cover-slipping and labeling slides.
  • Maintains accurate records of all tests performed and ensures compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • Communicates effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and prioritizes testing procedures.
  • Participates in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal and departmental development.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program within the last five years.
  • Four years of experience in histology laboratory settings.
  • Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL ASCP) certification.
