**Job Title:** Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Braden Health LLC. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will play a crucial role in analyzing patient testing to help physicians diagnose and treat diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples
  • Prepare samples for analysis
  • Locate, isolate, and identify microorganisms in body fluids and perform susceptibility testing
  • Monitor tests and procedures
  • Analyze the chemical content of fluids
  • Match blood for transfusion medicine
  • Test for drug levels in the blood
  • Perform necessary and required maintenance to any equipment used to aid in testing
  • Perform quality matrix and standard materials analysis to ensure accurate and precise reporting of results

Requirements:

  • Current license with the State of Tennessee as a Medical Laboratory Professional with a special endorsement as a Medical Laboratory Technician - General
  • Experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred but not required
  • BLS must be obtained within the first 30 days of hire

Working Conditions:

Patient care requires round-the-clock attention, so working hours include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Clinical/Technical laboratory staff spends a considerable amount of time walking, bending, stretching, and standing, so they must follow proper body mechanics to guard against injury.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience
