This Medical Laboratory Technician position is responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, preparing samples for analysis, and conducting laboratory tests to help diagnose and treat diseases.

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at Braden Health LLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient laboratory operations. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing body fluids, tissue, and other substances to determine normal or abnormal findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples">
  • Prepare samples for analysis and conduct laboratory tests">
  • Monitor tests and procedures, and analyze results to ensure accuracy and precision">
  • Match blood for transfusion medicine and test for drug levels in the blood">
  • Maintain equipment used in testing and perform quality control checks">
  • Work accurately under pressure and make decisions quickly, especially when dealing with emergency situations">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a current license as a Medical Laboratory Professional with a special endorsement as a Medical Laboratory Technician-General. Experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred but not required. You must also be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. You may be exposed to chemicals and infectious diseases, and you must be prepared to take proper precautions. You will also be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Educational Requirements:

A degree in medical technology or a related field is preferred. You must also have completed a formal training program in medical laboratory technology and have passed a certification exam.

Estimated Salary Range: $52,000 - $64,000 per year (dependent on experience)
