Job Purpose

Responsible for the planning, budgeting, documenting, and oversight of all aspects of Business Application programs, including ERP, throughout the project life cycle.

The position leads the design, testing, planning, budgeting, and implementation of complex projects for systems and services that typically affect many employees.

The Project Manager works closely with senior management to ensure that the scope and direction of each project are on schedule, as well as coordinates with other departments for support.

The position is focused on meeting project commitments.

It is imperative for this resource to drive consistency in the implementation of systems and best practices and understand LEAN methodologies.

This position will involve working across all lines of business and will require solid communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and drive a consistent agenda.

The Project Manager will need to focus on both Business and MIS resources, processes, and deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Work with IT leadership and the ERP/Business Application Managers to realize our enterprise application roadmap.
  2. Develop project plans and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  3. Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the organization.
  4. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  5. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  6. Assist in establishing realistic timelines and goals for project deliverables.
  7. Demonstrate superior collaboration skills and techniques, which appropriately define alternate solutions, resolve conflicts, and create partnerships with team members and stakeholders.
  8. Work seamlessly with Organizational Change Management to drive change to ensure project success while taking full account of obstacles, opposition, and differing stakeholder priorities.
  9. Develop/maintain detailed project budgets.
  10. Follow standard project methodology frameworks to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  11. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  12. Manage project status, risks, and issues with appropriate escalation mechanisms.
  13. Pro-actively develop and implement strategies that significantly mitigate program/project risk.
  14. Establish contacts and cultivate relationships and a network both inside and outside of EnerSys.
  15. Conduct follow-up meetings with stakeholders and team members to continuously improve project management processes and toolkits.
Qualifications

Requires a BS degree in Computer Science or a related area of study.

10+ years of in-depth experience in SAP S/4 and/or SAP ECC across configuration, implementation, and project management domains.

Minimum of 2-3 end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA implementations for a large enterprise (combination of brown field and green field) in a Manufacturing organization is strongly desired.

Strong IT Application Project Management skills are required; PMI or equivalent certification/relevant experience is preferred.

Solid analytical/problem-solving skills are required.

Ability to evaluate IT and business challenges from a broad perspective.

Proven experience structuring frameworks/approaches to complex problem-solving experience in LEAN processes is strongly preferred.

Experience working successfully in large, complex, fast-paced organizations.

Computer/Technical Skills

In-depth understanding and working experience of project management software, including MS Project, Atlassian Jira, and Smartsheet.

In-depth understanding of the end-to-end life cycle requirements of key business processes.

5-6 years of functional process, design, and configuration experience in at least 1-2 SAP functional modules across SD, MM, EWM, PP, FICO, including connection points with other modules prior to transitioning to PM role will strongly differentiate.

In-depth understanding of project implementation methodologies, such as SAP Activate.

Proficient in the use of standard office software and reporting applications.

Advanced MS Office skills, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince II.

Experience with other Project Management tools.

Project Management experience in implementing Data and Analytics platforms.

Travel Required

Moderate to Medium (during core project phases).
