Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with treating Speech Therapy Assistants to ensure timely and consistent collaboration.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in departmental processes and special projects, contributing to continuous improvement and excellence.
- Assume primary responsibility for patient plans of care, ensuring timely and consistent collaboration with treating Speech Therapy Assistants.
- Document patient progress, evaluations, and treatment plans in electronic medical records, adhering to departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide educational materials and methods appropriate to patients' levels of understanding and motivation.
- Participate in committees, departmental processes, and special projects, contributing to professional growth and development.
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Speech Pathologist License in the State of Illinois.
- Current BLS within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred: Current certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology, or eligibility following completion of the Clinical Fellowship year.
