Position Overview: The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) operates under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). This role is essential in delivering empathetic personal hygiene and fundamental nursing support to patients, ensuring age-specific competencies are met. Access to Protected Health Information is required to effectively perform job duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent educational background
- Certification & Licensure: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of employment
- Experience: At least six months of experience in a healthcare environment
- Skills and Knowledge: Proficient communication in English, strong interpersonal abilities, adaptability, critical thinking, teamwork, knowledge of age-specific care, and safety protocols
Job Details:
- Shift: Evening shifts
- Schedule: Full-time position
- Shift Hours: 8 hours per shift
- Days of the Week: Variable schedule
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
