Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide competent, compassionate, and individualized hygiene and basic nursing care for patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a hospital, nursing school, or long-term care facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically and set priorities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new and changing situations.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing situations. The Nursing Assistant will work in a hospital setting and will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and move equipment.
