About the Role:


The Head of Strategic Initiatives will act as a vital advisor and strategic collaborator with the executive team, delivering essential support in steering the organization's operations, projects, and strategic direction.

This position demands a robust background in project management and strategic development, alongside a solid grounding in business administration, typically evidenced by an MBA degree.

The Head of Strategic Initiatives will be instrumental in advancing key projects, optimizing processes, and fostering communication and collaboration across various departments.

This role reports directly to the President, Land Vehicles Americas.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development:
Partner with the executive team to formulate and execute strategic initiatives that align with the organization's vision and objectives. Offer insights and recommendations to boost operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Project Oversight:
Direct and manage cross-functional projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Employ project management best practices to ensure successful project delivery.

Executive Collaboration:

Act as a trusted advisor to the President and senior leadership, providing strategic counsel and support on critical business decisions.

Prepare briefing documents, presentations, and reports for executive meetings and engagements.

Operational Management:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to evaluate organizational performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement. Implement processes and systems to streamline workflows and resource allocation.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate and sustain relationships with stakeholders. Serve as a liaison among various departments to promote communication and collaboration. Demonstrate influence without authority and possess strong political acumen.

Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks and opportunities that could affect the organization's performance or reputation. Develop proactive strategies and contingency plans to address potential challenges.

M&A Experience:
Proven experience in leading due diligence efforts and integration processes.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
Over 10 years of experience in project management and/or strategic planning and executive support, preferably within a manufacturing context.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution is preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
Proven discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Proficient in PowerPoint and presentation skills are essential.
Willingness to travel at least 25%.
