We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counselor or Licensed Counselor to join our team at Pellissippi State Community College. As a key member of our Counseling Services Department, you will provide critical support to students, faculty, and staff, promoting academic success, personal growth, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing personal, academic, and career concerns.
- Assist students with career decision-making, vocational goal-setting, and career and life planning.
- Develop and implement workshops, seminars, and outreach programs to promote student success and mental health awareness.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community agencies to provide comprehensive support services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of counseling services provided.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Mental Health, Social Work, or a related field.
- License eligibility required; ability to attain licensure within 4 years of employment.
- 2 years of experience in higher education, working with adults and/or students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
