Mechanical and Electrical Assembler Position

The Mechanical and Electrical Assembler is a key role at Bauer Compressors, requiring a combination of mechanical assembly operations and electrical component assembly to produce compressor systems efficiently.

This position reports to the Assembly Operations Supervisor and is responsible for:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to accurately place parts
  • Receiving verbal instructions and following a blueprint to install and connect electrical components
  • Building wiring harnesses to required specifications and effectively running cabling
  • Communicating effectively with the supervisor on the status of needed parts and assemblies
  • Using specialized tooling and completing necessary certifications
  • Assembling units using standard hand and power tools and performing belt alignments
  • Maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to company safety standards

Essential skills and experience include:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in mechanical assembly, point-to-point electrical wiring, and/or training
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
  • Able to follow directions and work independently
  • General understanding of piping, tubing, and belt alignment
