Job Summary

EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a highly skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, and addressing any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily equipment checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly
  • Make repairs and replacements as needed, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment
  • Complete general building repairs, including painting, carpentry, and minor plumbing repairs
  • Replace lighting components, ceiling tiles, and grid throughout the buildings and offices
  • Maintain building lighting, parking lot lighting, and emergency lights
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management to ensure all work requests are understood and completed to satisfaction
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or trade school preferred
  • 4-6 years of related experience in maintenance and repair
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
Competencies
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret instructions and perform basic addition and subtraction
  • Ability to work and communicate professionally in occupied space environments
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with occasional exposure to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually loud.
