Job Title: Security Officer III

La Sierra University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer III to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional security services to our campus community.

Job Summary:

The Security Officer III position is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise, leadership, and communication skills. You will be responsible for supervising security personnel, responding to emergency situations, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of security personnel to ensure effective security services are provided to the campus community.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including incidents, accidents, and security breaches.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility and presence on campus to deter and prevent security incidents.
  • Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including facilities and public safety, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to security incidents.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with university policies and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to security personnel on security procedures, protocols, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of security operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Guard Card and valid CA Driver's License required.
  • Public Driving Record required.
