Job Summary

Athens Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all property and materials within our facilities. This is a critical role that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter the premises.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as fires or intruders, and take appropriate action to minimize damage and ensure the safety of individuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, including dates, times, and descriptions of events.
  • Collaborate with management and law enforcement agencies to resolve security-related issues.
  • Perform routine checks of the premises, including lighting, electrical equipment, and potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and emergency response.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Previous security experience.

Physical/Environmental Demands:
  • Physical:
    • Sitting, seeing, hearing, and smelling continuously.
    • Problem-solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, calculating, concentration, and interpersonal abilities continuously.
    • Eye/hand coordination, fingering (typing), handling, and wrist motion continuously.
    • Bending, reaching, stretching, standing, and walking occasionally.
  • Environmental:
    • Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, and noise continuously.
    • Exposure to grease, oil, chemicals, and wet conditions occasionally.
    • Works inside only.
    • Position considered office only.

Salary and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $22.75.
