This role presents an exciting opportunity to take ownership of critical projects and drive innovation in designing and developing custom automated machinery.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with senior engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects from concept to completion.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing innovative machinery designs, generating detailed 3D models, and creating comprehensive drawing packages.
  • Identifying and specifying materials and components, and working with suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
  • Participating in and occasionally leading design reviews, while maintaining Bills of Materials and managing Engineering Change Requests/Notices (ECRs/ECNs).
  • Performing detailed engineering calculations to validate designs and enhance performance.
  • Managing technical projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and resource needs are all met effectively.
  • Acting as the primary technical liaison to customers, offering expert guidance and maintaining open lines of communication on project progress.
  • Collaborating with Controls Engineers and the Manufacturing team to ensure smooth integration and assembly of equipment.
  • Supporting hands-on equipment testing and troubleshooting to ensure successful deployment.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in designing and executing custom machinery projects, from initial concept to final implementation.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, particularly in automation or custom machinery.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not required with relevant experience).
