Your Role:

Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to be part of our dynamic team. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally holding a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Master's degree preferred). This role demands exceptional technical leadership on complex projects, with a strong emphasis on analytical skills in areas such as soil and rock classification, slope stability assessments, earth retention systems, deep foundation design, soil enhancement methods, and pavement design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality engineering analyses and oversee technical project delivery.
  • Lead proposal development, project scheduling, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Foster relationships with new and existing clients to enhance business opportunities.
  • Guide and mentor project teams and junior staff effectively.
  • Ensure quality stewardship and manage project risks.
  • Experience in Northern California is highly desirable.
  • Bring an established client portfolio to enhance Kleinfelder's offerings.
  • Maintain adherence to project budgets and financial performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in either a technical or project management capacity within a professional services environment.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or the ability to obtain it within four months is required; Geotechnical Engineer (GE) certification is preferred.
