Job Summary:

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a full range of basic and advanced level procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures according to departmental protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a resource to others as needed and be available on-call basis.
  • Work varied shifts as assigned and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards as set by the department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Imaging Services Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CRT and registration from ARRT and current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • One year of hospital experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and establish effective working relationships across the Health System.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work varied shifts and be available on-call basis.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and procedures.
  • Ability to participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Ability to meet productivity and quality standards as set by the department.
  • Other requirements as specified by the Imaging Services Manager.
