Job Summary:

The University of California, Irvine seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to join its team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a full range of basic and advanced level procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures according to departmental protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a resource to others as needed and be available on-call basis.
  • Work varied shifts as assigned.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of patient procedures and results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and patients.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and University policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CRT and registration from ARRT.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Hospital experience of 1 year preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
