About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at S&P Global. As a key member of our Workflow & Controls team, you will play a critical role in building a BPM platform that is core to our business.

The Impact

Our new platform will help our business realize business values quickly by enabling teams to frequently deploy small independent units of business capabilities using mature DevOps pipelines. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for transforming our core Business Process Management applications into a single unified platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design, architect, and build microservices-based distributed systems in a serverless environment (preferably Kubernetes)
  • Develop distributed systems with strong technical ability and great communication skills
  • Work in a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Participate in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Ensure the security, engineering principles, and quality standards are enforced
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex problems
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience with related frameworks and technologies (Spring, Restful services, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, MVC, Servlets, etc.)
  • Experience in design, architect, and build microservices-based distributed systems in a serverless environment (preferably Kubernetes)
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies like React
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with different database technologies (like RDBMS, NOSQL) and data modeling
  • Experience in adopting to DevOps, building the pipelines for COTS products
  • Experience in automated unit testing frameworks
  • Experience in enforcing the security, engineering principles, and quality standards
