Job Title: Behavior Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team at JD Home Healthcare. As a Behavior Technician, you will work with individuals who require in-home care and services, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Job Summary:

The Behavior Technician will be responsible for providing individualized support to clients with challenging behaviors, including physical aggression, verbal aggression, elopement, self-injurious behavior, and property destruction. You will work closely with management and other team members to develop and implement support plans, gather and document information, and track and chart data.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to clients with challenging behaviors
  • Develop and implement support plans in collaboration with management and other team members
  • Gather and document information to support client needs and goals
  • Track and chart data to ensure compliance with company expectations
  • Communicate frequently with management and other team members to ensure seamless support
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy of clients and staff members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors
  • Ability to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations
  • Willingness to travel to and from surrounding areas as needed
  • Reliable transportation and a current driver's license
  • Clear driving record (No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 5 years)
  • Fluently read, understand, speak, and write the English Language
  • Dynamic communication skills, working techniques, and ability to multitask
  • General computer skills/knowledge
  • Working cell phone with internet access

Compensation:

$20 per hour
