About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OB/GYN physician to serve as Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Ascension Saint Agnes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the department and overseeing the delivery of clinical care, as well as driving change in a complex community-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume bottom-line responsibility for department capital and operating budgets, meeting or exceeding budgeted targets.
  • Supervise department and departmental subsections, overseeing deployment of staff, employee development, performance, and satisfaction.
  • Define criteria for staff privileges in conjunction with department members and make recommendations regarding same.
  • Identify new technology and treatments, promote progressive and best practices, and ensure quality/performance improvement activities are working well.
  • Oversee risk management activities, including adjudication of patient complaints.
