Job Summary

The Crescent City Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering information to project supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager and Management Team in managing all aspects of a construction project, including financial administration and cost reporting activities.
  • Review contract and specifications in their entirety.
  • Assist with all schedule preparations and updates.
  • Assist with quantity reporting, project costs, and forecasting.
  • Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors to include charge orders.
  • Requisition equipment and material deliveries as required.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts.
  • Manage document control, including submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc.
  • Review Heavy Job daily reports for accuracy.
  • Comply with notice requirements, such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, etc.
  • Based on quantity takeoffs, manage the ordering of materials needed to successfully execute the project.
  • Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plan and/or specifications affect products or services.
  • Assist with project closeout.
  • Perform additional assignments per the Project Manager's direction.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM).
  • Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheet analysis and broad technical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of cost analysis and estimating with HCSS products or similar.
  • Thorough knowledge of CPM scheduling and extensive experience with Primavera products.
Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Bridge construction experience preferred.
