Job Summary:

The Insurance Denial Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and resolving payer account denials in a timely and efficient manner. This role will require strong analytical and communication skills to effectively resolve billing issues and ensure accurate payment from payers.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor delinquent accounts and perform actions to resolve claim denials
Review reports, research, and resolve claim denial issues
Work with co-workers to resolve insurance payment and billing errors
Monitor and update delinquent accounts status
Recommend accounts for denial adjustments or write-offs

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum four (4) years combined medical billing and payment experience required
Strong knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) desired
Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) desired

Work Environment:

The Insurance Denial Specialist will work in an office environment with frequent contact with staff. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to resolve complex billing issues.
