Mercy Hospital Ardmore is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our Medical ICU and Intermediate Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those requiring respiratory support, cardiac drips, and other life-sustaining therapies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, lab results, and other clinical data to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform various procedures, including NGT placement, foley placement, and PIV placement, as well as assist physicians with Central Line placement, Arterial Line placement, and other invasive procedures.
- Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response Team activations, providing critical care to patients in need.
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oklahoma or eligible for compact licensure.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, as determined by Mercy.
