Tax Senior Manager Job Description

Carr Riggs & Ingram is seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our team. As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to our clients, ensuring their tax needs are met with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide final technical review on tax returns and documents for a significant portion of our client base.
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues, providing recommendations to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on tax law developments and accounting procedures, ensuring our clients receive the best possible guidance.
  • Direct and coordinate tax planning, organization, and client interface to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their tax needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Lead and support the development of subordinates, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
  • Monitor the quality of our tax services and personnel performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assign, track, and manage tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Take an active role in developing staff and supervisors, promoting growth and advancement.
  • Build and nurture internal and external networks, leveraging relationships to drive new business opportunities.
  • Manage and oversee real-time and monthly billing functions, collections, and WIP, aging, and write-downs.
Requirements:
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Minimum 7+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and remaining organized.
