Advanced Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Gastroenterology is tasked with overseeing all facets of the nursing process while delivering and/or supervising direct patient care.
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to age-specific needs.
This role emphasizes the coordination of care, focusing on patient transitions throughout the continuum of care, educating patients and their families, promoting self-management post-discharge, and enhancing factors that influence patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate GI endoscopic care.
- Actively participate as a member of the Gastroenterology section.
- Administer medications and procedures in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to influence care outcomes.
Additional duties involve serving as a liaison among subspecialty providers, case managers, and primary care professionals. The ideal candidate is expected to meet specific eligibility criteria and uphold licensing and credentialing in good standing.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no virtual options available.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be capable of standing, walking, lifting, and turning, along with possessing visual and auditory acuity.
Qualifications:
The candidate must hold a post-master's certificate or a master's or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited nursing school recognized by ACEN or CCNE. All Advanced Practice Nurses (NPs) must maintain an active, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as an NP, along with full and current board certification. Intermediate and advanced levels of experience in APN (NP) roles may be considered.
