About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our Emergency and Critical Care team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Triage incoming patients and manage patients/clients throughout their visit
  • Partner with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
  • Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient assessment
  • Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events
  • Surgical assisting for minor procedures
  • Assess hospitalized patients' needs and communicate details to the DVM overseeing the case
  • Inpatient treatments and nursing care throughout the shift
  • Calculate and administer medication, fluid additives, and CRI's
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting
  • 1 year of ECC experience preferred
  • RVT, VTS, or VACSP preferred but not required
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring
  • Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage, $21.00 - $30.20, based on skills and experience. Additional shift differential for swing and grave shifts.
