Job Summary:

The Houston Astros are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to serve as a part-time Medical Liaison. This role will require regular collaboration with MiLB and MLB Medical and Rehab Coordinators, Affiliate Athletic trainers, team physicians, colleagues within Sports Medicine and Performance, as well as other staff and front office members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with MiLB and MLB Operations staff on travel logistics for players
• Schedule appropriate medical appointments
• Oversee Houston Methodist Platinum Services & Security to assist as needed for player medical appointments
• Accompany players to medical appointments
• Maintain high-level communication with Major League Medical Coordinator, Minor League Medical Coordinators, MiLB Rehab Coordinator, and Risk Management
• Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures as outlined in the Astros Handbook, SM&P Handbook, Medical Department Handbook, and direct communication from the Director of Sports Medicine and Performance
• Other duties assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine and Performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Bilingual (Spanish) is an asset, but not required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Frequent travel within the Houston area is required
