Position Overview:

The Lead Cost Strategist for PowerSports & Products will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive cost strategies across both US and global purchasing frameworks, ensuring alignment with manufacturing initiatives to fulfill immediate, mid-term, and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Oversee all team members to ensure professional growth and performance, uphold departmental output standards, support business initiatives, manage resources within established parameters, and facilitate effective communication of strategies and outcomes to team members and management.


Cost Strategy Development:

Formulate intricate cost strategies in collaboration with the research and planning unit prior to critical events, ensuring alignment with business, technical, procurement, production, and sales strategies.


Cost Reduction Initiatives:

Establish clear objectives and tactics on an annual rolling basis to bolster cost reduction efforts in support of business strategies.


Manufacturing Strategy Support:

Assist in the formulation of component manufacturing strategies for ATV/SxS, ensuring alignment with cost planning to maintain a competitive and sustainable business framework.



Candidate Profile:

Essential Experience:
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, ideally within the PowerSports or automotive sectors.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of PowerSports product development processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of company division and departmental functions.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and process enhancement capabilities.
  • Proficient negotiation skills with a diplomatic approach.
  • Exceptional multitasking, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
  • Capacity to positively influence and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and conflict resolution skills.

Additional Position Details:
  • Hybrid work model (60% in-office).
  • Travel requirements: 30%.
