Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Technologist to join our team at Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLP. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for performing limited supervisory roles and assisting in the management of our laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform moderate and high-complexity testing to ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Analyze and review testing results, recognizing when corrective action is needed and implementing effective solutions
  • Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards, championing safety, compliance, and quality control
  • Assist in the management of laboratory operations, including supervising staff and ensuring the achievement of quality and productivity goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited program
  • Current active certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) as a medical laboratory scientist (MLS), formerly known as MT/CLS or American Medical Technologist as Medical Laboratory Technician or MLT (AMT)
  • Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital/commercial lab setting
  • Good computer knowledge (Word and Excel) and skills in lab information systems
  • Previous specialized experience in microbiology and blood banking is preferred for MT Sr. assigned to these departments
