Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Integrated Resources. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and review patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam or procedure.
  • Interview patients to obtain, verify or update medical history and assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy and/or psychological indicators.
  • Explain procedures to patients, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives and follow-up.
  • Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per script.
  • Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols and communicate data to radiologist.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate.
  • Provide physician-prescribed post care instructions to patients.
  • Participate in process improvement activities within radiology practice, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists and new employees.
  • Able to take call/standby as required by the department.
Requirements
  • Must have 2 years recent RD & CT Tech experience in a hospital setting.
  • Must have ARRT certification in RD & CT Tech & Ohio Radiology license.
  • Must have BLS certification attached to the submission (Must be through the American Heart Association); RQI certifications will not be accepted.
  • Facility uses TOSHIBA Aquilion 64 slice and 16 slice Client xray units x 3 their CT machine, must have familiarity with this machine & digital for their X-ray machine.
  • Must be able to start IV a plus and able to work alone.
