About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Activities Assistant to join our team at Discovery Senior Living. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in developing and overseeing resident activities, ensuring our community remains a vibrant and engaging place to live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and implementation of activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute community events, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of events, ensuring a varied and engaging schedule for our residents.
  • Work flexible hours to accommodate activity events, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in independent living, assisted living, or long-term care.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage older adults.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated creativity and organizational skills.
