Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers and clinical staff in gathering essential vital signs and preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
- Maintain a tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, lab tests, and procedures to ensure regular monitoring of patient health.
- Coordinate referrals for patients to specialists or outpatient services as directed by the healthcare provider, completing necessary forms and requisitions, including appropriate coding.
- Address inquiries and provide education to patients and their families.
- Facilitate and support relationships among healthcare providers and ancillary services.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the anatomical implications for clinic specialty services, including co-morbidities affecting patient care and treatment.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program for Registered Nurses.
- Current nursing license in the State of Iowa/Illinois.
- Certification as a Mandatory Reporter and CPR.
- Meets educational and competency standards as per policy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Capability to comprehend and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Previous clinical experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
