Position Overview:

The Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering a variety of cocktails and beverages to guests within the casino and hotel environment. This role emphasizes exceptional guest service and maintaining cleanliness in designated areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons in accordance with 4-Star/4-Diamond standards.
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor in all guest interactions.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with TIPS training.
  • Keep assigned sections clean and organized by bussing glasses and managing waste.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and stock levels of the cocktail service station.
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently using the designated register system.
  • Assist with special events as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Strong verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to interact diplomatically with team members is crucial. Familiarity with beverage administration, cost control, and beverage service is required. A high commitment to guest service is expected.

Education and Experience:

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have experience in a high-volume beverage service environment. TIPS certification is required.

Licenses and Certifications:

Applicants must successfully complete a background check to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Morongo Gaming Agency. A Certified Food Handler Card is also required.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including order tickets and safety protocols. Effective communication with guests and colleagues is necessary.

Mathematical Skills:

Capability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Good hearing, speaking, and vision are essential.

Work Environment:

The role is set in a dynamic environment characterized by moderate to loud noise levels and a smoking atmosphere.

Schedule Flexibility:

Given the 24/7 operation, flexibility in scheduling is necessary, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
