Job Summary

The Community Liaison is a key role in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources. This position is responsible for responding to customer requests and concerns, negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals who utilize home care services.
  • Regularly schedule and conduct visits to referral sources to identify patients who may be appropriate for home health services.
  • Maintain current knowledge of agency/market trends, coverage criteria, and industry changes to ensure compliance with required regulations.
  • Represent the agency at health fairs, mall shows, and other community service functions.
  • Participate in civic and/or community committees as requested.
  • Conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan to meet budgetary volume projections.
  • Work with the Executive Director to establish marketing techniques.
  • Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
  • Build and monitor community, customer, and payer perceptions of the agency as a high-quality provider of services.
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning, including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in healthcare marketing management, preferably in home health care operations.
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Knowledge of corporate business management.
  • Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
Compensation

$80,000-$120,000 annually
