About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Training and Development Coordinator to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our training team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our veterinary staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs that align with our hospital's mission, vision, and culture.
  • Collaborate with hospital service managers and leadership team to drive the development of our nursing care team through VSH training programs.
  • Implement performance improvement measures, conduct orientation sessions, and arrange on-the-job training for new employees, VA program, and Specialty/ECC Interns.
  • Provide mentorship and support to new and existing staff members during their training period and beyond.
  • Work with the Hospital Leadership team to implement educational initiatives and organize hands-on training workshops on various topics.
  • Build relationships and opportunities for student internships and externships to meet educational requirements for the hospital students.
  • Ensure timely updates/feedback on trainee's progress and maintain accurate, complete training records.
  • Engage in self-reflection and program evaluation practices to modify and enhance the team training programs.
  • Regularly meet with the leadership team to discuss program development, objectives, and additional needs.
  • Coordinate schedules of trainees with assistant hospital managers and leads post-initial onboarding and SOP/computer training.
  • Work with other TDCs to develop curriculum and materials for all VSH training programs.
  • Coordinate and assist with onboarding and initial training for all new hires within the specialty department.
Requirements
  • Credentialed veterinary technician required (RVT/CVT/LVT)
  • 5+ years of service in specialty medicine (if applicable)
  • Advanced medical vocabulary/knowledge and technical skills including disease pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical math, and workflow specific to their department.
  • Ability to multitask (train/mentor while completing usual job duties)
  • Knowledge of nosocomial infection control procedures/policies
  • Proficiency with the utilization of HIS
  • The willingness and ability to adapt and evolve with the position
