Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and execute advanced tasks involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, along with troubleshooting and repairing various equipment.
  • Formulate and implement preventive maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability.
  • Manage the inventory of maintenance tools and supplies effectively.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of various operational areas within the facility.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring the safety of personnel and compliance with established protocols.
  • Carry out urgent repairs on equipment and facility systems as needed.
  • Interpret technical manuals and work orders to guide maintenance activities.
  • Identify issues, replace or repair components, conduct tests, and perform necessary adjustments.
  • Execute regular preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
  • Perform a range of minor and complex maintenance tasks across the facility.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, effectively.
  • Detect operational anomalies and report any irregularities promptly.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain organized workspaces.
  • Mentor and train new maintenance staff, fostering a culture of learning.
  • Undertake additional maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary certification preferred.
  • Training: General maintenance training is advantageous.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid motor vehicle license is mandatory. Certifications in plumbing, electrical work, grounds maintenance, and HVAC are preferred. EPA certification is also a plus.
  • Experience: Extensive formal training in maintenance with over 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Proficiency in utilizing various hand tools for facility repairs is essential.
