- Formulate and implement preventive maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability.
- Manage the inventory of maintenance tools and supplies effectively.
- Conduct thorough inspections of various operational areas within the facility.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring the safety of personnel and compliance with established protocols.
- Carry out urgent repairs on equipment and facility systems as needed.
- Interpret technical manuals and work orders to guide maintenance activities.
- Identify issues, replace or repair components, conduct tests, and perform necessary adjustments.
- Execute regular preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
- Perform a range of minor and complex maintenance tasks across the facility.
- Utilize hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, effectively.
- Detect operational anomalies and report any irregularities promptly.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain organized workspaces.
- Mentor and train new maintenance staff, fostering a culture of learning.
- Undertake additional maintenance tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary certification preferred.
- Training: General maintenance training is advantageous.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid motor vehicle license is mandatory. Certifications in plumbing, electrical work, grounds maintenance, and HVAC are preferred. EPA certification is also a plus.
- Experience: Extensive formal training in maintenance with over 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Proficiency in utilizing various hand tools for facility repairs is essential.
