Sign Language Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Sign Language Instructor to join our team at Azusa Unified School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching American Sign Language to students in Grades 9-12.
Key Responsibilities- Teach American Sign Language courses in compliance with Board of Education approved course descriptions.
- Develop and implement instructional plans to meet the needs of students with varying skill levels and learning styles.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior and provide a safe and healthy learning environment.
- Encourage independent and original thought in students.
- Supervise students during emergency procedures and drills.
- American Sign Language Credential
- CBEST Card
- English Language Learners Authorization
- Letter of intent, resume, and three letters of recommendation
- Current certificated employees should include their most recent evaluation
Azusa Unified School District offers medical insurance plans to employees working a 90% or more assignment. Employees are required to take at least single coverage health insurance with the district or provide proof of coverage through another group plan.
