Role Overview
As a Critical Care Nurse in the Burn Unit, you will provide direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing effective communication to foster a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Identifying and addressing nursing challenges based on individual patient needs.
- Planning and implementing personalized patient care through a collaborative approach.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring alignment with the hospital's mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs while executing physician orders.
- Administer medications, manage wound care, and monitor vital signs.
- Document and communicate patient conditions effectively using computerized systems.
- Educate patients and their families as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- A degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure with the appropriate nursing board.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in clinical nursing.
