The Chanan Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through comprehensive support in housing, education, and essential life skills. We are currently seeking a **Registered Nurse Supervisor** to oversee the medical needs of our special needs community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver medical supervision and direction for individuals with special needs.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for appointments, medication adjustments, and refills.
- Monitor medication alterations on a monthly basis and communicate with pharmacies ahead of refills.
- Conduct monthly checks on medications, ensuring accuracy with the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and consultation documentation.
- Maintain records of annual physicals, TB tests, vision, dental, mammogram, and gynecological exams.
- Revise the Health Risk Screening Tool as necessary.
- Update forms related to medication reduction for psychotropic medications.
- Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotations.
- Provide training for staff regarding medication management.
- Develop healthcare protocols as required.
The ideal candidate will possess a current State Nursing License and demonstrate a collaborative spirit, as well as a genuine compassion for the special needs population. Our management team is committed to supporting the successful integration of the new hire into their role.
