Neurosurgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurosurgery team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans, including ordering diagnostic tests and consulting with specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with our neurosurgery team to coordinate patient care, including rounding and discharge planning.
- Provide direct patient care services, including administering medications and performing minor procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, including coding and billing information.
- Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts, ensuring the smooth flow of patient processing and treatment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of neurosurgery principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
As a member of our Neurosurgery team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $110,598 - $130,000, commensurate with experience. You will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings and paid time off.
