Duties & Responsibilities:- Guest Experience: Set the tone for the guest experience with warmth and hospitality, greeting and seating guests, and confirming reservations in our reservation system.
- Anticipate and Accommodate: Anticipate and accommodate guest needs, supporting the Front of House and Back of House teams during service as needed.
- Table Management: Manage wait lists and table turns through our reservation system, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for our guests.
- General Cleanliness: Maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area, performing side-work as directed.
- Experience: Previous host experience (1+ years') in a high-volume full-service restaurant.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of our reservation system or similar platform.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with guests and answer any questions about our restaurant, its food and beverage selections, and our company.
- Personal Qualities: Warm and welcoming demeanor, ability to remain professional and calm under pressure, and exceptional time management and communication skills.
This role operates in a fast-paced restaurant environment, requiring prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and movement throughout the space. The host station is small, and traffic is high. The workspace is on 2 levels, and the ability to use stairs is required.
Essential Functions:- Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and movement throughout the space.
- Communication: Expression/exchange of ideas both verbally and through non-verbal means.
- Visual Acuity: Must be able to obtain impressions through the eyes.
- Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination.
- Lifting and Carrying: Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying loads of up to 15 lbs.
- Hourly Rate: $16/hour (plus $10-$15/hour in tips)
