Position Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in providing engineering support on the manufacturing floor for existing products. This position serves as a vital link between Product Engineering and Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, identify, and resolve tooling, fixture, process, gauging, and assembly requirements to uphold production and quality standards.
- Conduct product cost analyses and explore alternative production techniques.
- Justify capital equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.
- Establish and maintain time standards in line with facility policies.
- Design facility layouts considering workflow, production needs, costs, equipment, and associate safety.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
- Enhance professional and technical expertise by participating in relevant seminars, joining associations, and subscribing to industry publications.
Training and Leadership
- Provide training to new and existing engineering associates as necessary.
- Assume supervisory or managerial responsibilities when appropriate.

Qualifications for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design and relevant software applications.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication, CNC machining, assembly, and painting processes.
- Experience in preparing capital equipment justifications and understanding manufacturing systems.
- Strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and lean manufacturing principles.
