Job Summary

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quarry Foreman to oversee the safe and efficient production of materials in our Hazleton Quarry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing a crew of employees, ensuring compliance with MSHA and H&K Safety policies, and maintaining a safe worksite.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct a crew of employees to ensure the safe and efficient production of materials
  • Enforce MSHA and H&K Safety policies to maintain a safe worksite
  • Read and interpret blueprints and related documents as needed
  • Record daily events in a job diary and analyze crew SIP's to create site SIP's
  • Schedule materials, equipment, and work for crew and accurately code and control onsite costs
  • Conduct site meetings and communicate goals and purpose effectively
  • Understand and anticipate customers' needs and communicate with customer representatives
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited educational institution or 5 years of related experience and/or training
  • Able to read blueprints and job-related documents
  • Basic technology skills including internet, email, and digital photo documentation
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Safety-focused and ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience with heavy equipment used in quarries
  • Experience working in quarries
  • MSHA or other safety certifications
Work Environment

Hazleton Quarry is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with regular exposure to outside weather conditions and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
